Bringing together the love of art and literature
A set of bookmarks was designed with a touch of magic in mind, inspired by moments that spark joy. The aim was to create playful and vibrant images that could come together as a set but still stand out individually.
The process began by capturing the essence of happy moments: a field of colorful flowers, the soothing sound of waves and warmth of the sun, a dreamy, starry sky, and the thrill of falling in love.
Sketches were initially kept loose and fun, then gradually shaped into more detailed designs. To bring the illustrations to life, mood images and color palettes were explored, with a loose, painterly style adding a blend of structure and spontaneity. Finally, phrases were added, experimenting with different fonts and layouts to complete these cheerful, whimsical designs.
